EASY TO USE SEED STARTER KIT --- The package of 15 Floro Peat Pots is the perfect seed starter kit to encourage germination and successful growth. These peat cups are round with a 4" diameter where you can plant your seedlings to sprout. Once sprouted, simply place the entire peat pot and sapling into the ground.
ENHANCES AERATION TO PLANT ROOTS --- In order to grow and thrive, a plant's roots need air. Oftentimes, if a seed is planted in a ceramic, plastic or metal pot, it is difficult for the roots to get enough oxygen to sprout. The biodegradable peat pots allow air to reach the roots, increasing your chance of plant success.
USEFUL FOR A WIDE VARIETY OF PLANTS --- Great for aquaponics, hydroponics and transplanting, the 4" peat pots work for many different types of flowers and fruits. Everything from tomatoes, squash and cucumbers to basil, chives, daffodils and tulips can be started in the organic peat cups.
REDUCES TRANSPLANT SHOCK --- When saplings are transplanted from their starting location to their outdoor location, they go through the shock of being moved which may cause them not to grow properly. This transplant shock can be greatly reduced by using the natural cups. Since they are planted in the original sprouting location, the peat moss becomes one with the plant's roots and continues to spread and grow.
BIODEGRADABLE & ECO-FRIENDLY --- As the Floro Plant Starter Pots are made of 100% organic fibers and peat moss, they are all natural, sustainably grown and biodegradable. The material naturally breaks down making the biodegradable pots one of the most environment-friendly plant vessels available and absolutely safe to plant directly into the earth.

Description

Are the peat pots safe for the environment?
All natural and organic, the Floro Pots are 100% biodegradable and eco-friendly. Made entirely of sustainably produced fibers and peat moss, the plant starter cups naturally break down once planted into the earth leaving no residue or trace of debris.

How do I use the seed starting pots?
Planting seedlings and then transferring them to a more permanent location can be tricky. Young saplings haven't yet developed strong roots or sturdy leaves making them more susceptible to the shock of being transplanted. By planting your seeds in the starter seed pots, the saplings do not need to be removed. The entire biodegradable pot and sapling are planted into the soil together making the process far easier for your tender plants. It's easy to become a green thumb using the premium organic pots from Floro.

Can I plant any type of seeds in the peat cups?
The organic garden pots from Floro are 4" (10cm) in diameter and come in a package of 15 peat pots. At this size, you can plant just about any seedling from flowers and herbs to fruits and vegetables. The seedling pots can be used in hydroponics, aquaponics and traditional plant growing. They are ideal for plants when you intend to move into your garden or flower bed. The seed starter kit is versatile, practical and, because there are 15 planter pots included, you can plant a wide variety of plants such as tulips, lilies, mint, tomatoes and squash.

Are peat pots superior to other plant receptacles?
Ceramic, terracotta and plastic pots are beautiful for indoor decorative plants, but many outdoor plants need oxygen to their roots and room to grow. The seed starting pots promote aeration, encourages healthy growth and eliminate any root disturbance during the transplant process. All of these factors greatly increase your chances of a thriving, fruitful garden.
