Description

ENGLISH DESCRIPTION

Eight kilometers from Medelln, halfway between Envigado and Sabaneta, and on the left-hand side when you're going there (or the right-hand side in the other direction), among orange trees, mango trees, and lime trees, arose Santa Anita: happy, clean, beautiful.

We saw it from the highway, and they saw us from their front hall: "Here they come! Here they come!" said the pair of terrified old ladies. "Yeah, here we come, so what!" In a little Ford that maxed out at 70 km per hour, the narrator of this book and his siblings travel to their grandmother's country house in the heart of their youth. Days that, remembered from the present, when the narrator is as old as his grandmother was at that time, are filled with deeper colors. An unforgettable novel about childhood and the passage of time.
